Welcome to our beginning work to create a family-friendly & healing skatepark.
This skatepark project is a major work and it is projected to take 7-11 years from 2022 to complete. In the mean time, we spend time in small groups: creating artworks for healing, tending the memory garden, visiting the graves of our loved ones, supporting each other’s needs when they arise, working our jobs, and constantly praying for healing and guidance in our complicated grief.
This journey is about healing, love; this work is about doing God’s will for His hurting children. We will serve others.
The skatepark will be a safe place for friends and families to skateboard, enjoy nature, and picnic. It will give a space to honor those we have lost tragically and a peaceful place to stand in our complicated grief.
I am working with various non-profits to educate myself in this work. The Tony Hawk Foundation and local Houston missions have been very supportive. God is good.
We were forged for one of God's gifts, Joshua. He was authentic, creative, and a servant of God. He is greatly missed and deeply loved.
Thank you for being a part of creating this safe and healing space. It will be family-friendly space for everyone to enjoy skateboarding, nature, gardening, art, and picnics.
For connecting to the process.
